Providing peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

Senior SafeGuard® was founded in 2015 to provide support for Seniors who wish to remain in their own homes as long as feasible and safe. Most Seniors prefer the comfort and familiarity of their own home. Many Seniors may not have family nearby who can help ensure they have the services they need and that their home and property remains functional and safe. If you need to provide care for a loved one, but don’t live close enough to monitor their care, we can provide those services for you.

We have lived through the anxiety, stress, compassion and care required to support family members who wish to age in place. We have the knowledge, experience and trust to ensure your loved one receives quality services for a safe and satisfying lifestyle.

Senior SafeGuard was founded by Bruce Wilson, a longtime resident of NE Ohio. After graduating from Mentor High School and The Ohio State University, Bruce’s Engineering and Operations Management career included working for Diamond Shamrock, Ricerca, Avery Dennison and Schneller. The concept of Senior SafeGuard was developed while being nearby to his parents, who remained in their own home during most of their Senior years. Bruce has also become aware of the widely varied needs of the Senior community around Lake County, while volunteering weekly for the Meals On Wheels program through Lake County Council on Aging. Bruce is passionate about helping seniors age in place.

Bruce recently achieved his CAPS certification through the National Home Builders Association. A "Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist" understands the unique needs of the older adult population and is knowledgeable about, aging-in-place home modifications, common remodeling projects, and solutions to common barriers faced by Seniors Aging In Place.

Maintaining a home and property is a never ending task. Being knowledgeable about the many varied aspects of home maintenance is critical to diagnosing a problem and then contacting the best service supplier to help repair the problem. Many home repairs can be small and inexpensive, while other major repairs, replacements, or refurbishments are more complex and certainly more expensive. Many Seniors are on a fixed income budget, and thus wish to ensure their home maintenance budget is spent wisely and with trusted service providers. Senior SafeGuard helps provide the support and knowledge to accomplish these ongoing challenges of home ownership in one’s Senior years.

It's critical to maintain a safe and functional environment for Seniors remaining in their own homes. Their home and property is also one of the most valued assets for Seniors. Protecting this asset through proper care and maintenance is a wise investment. Utilizing a preventive maintenance mindset and identifying and fixing problems when they are small can prevent a costly repair down the road. Ensuring high quality work at a fair price is key to maintaining this treasured asset called "Home".

Senior SafeGuard is a reputable resource for local service providers, and we have an affordable Home Watch program that allows us to monitor your home while you are away for extended periods of time.
